We are looking for researchers with a strong publication record and background in applied ecological research. Some editorial experience, links with practitioners and experience of publishing in Journal of Applied Ecology is desirable. We are especially interested in receiving applications from groups currently under-represented in the editorial board.

In particular, we are seeking:
– An expert in agroecology, with a preference for a research background in the delivery of ecosystem services such as pollination or biocontrol
– An expert in aquatic ecosystems with strong applied experience and ideally with connections to practitioners
– An expert with a global perspective of spatial and landscape ecology
– An expert in human–wildlife conflict, who also has good links with practitioners on the ground; a large-mammal ecologist with an interest in social science
– An expert in biocontrol, who also has some disease knowledge
– An expert in terrestrial ecology with genetics expertise
