If you are less than five years post-PhD and looking to develop your editorial experience alongside a revered board of Senior Editors, why not apply for the Journal of Applied Ecology Associate Editor mentoring opportunity?

Each year the board welcomes new mentee Associate Editors with little or no editorial experience to take up this training post and gain experience of working on a relevant and well-respected journal. This two-year position includes:

• An appointed Senior Editor to provide guidance, support and a sounding board for questions and ideas
• In-house support from the Editorial office – we take care of the routine work so you can focus on the science
• Experience in the peer review process for a high-impact journal, including assessing content, selecting reviewers and making recommendations to Senior Editors
• The opportunity to share your ideas for future journal initiatives

Please send your CV or link to your webpage, by Monday 31st July to admin@journalofappliedecology.org, including a list of 3–8 of your recently published papers along with a short statement outlining your views and experiences of publishing, areas of expertise, and stating which Senior Editor would be most appropriate for your research area.
